Sac River Salmon Charters

Over the years there have been many changes and factors that go into the “when” and “where” will the Sacramento River salmon be biting. This season will undoubtedly become another one of those tricky seasons where Sacramento River salmon guides pick and choose the most productive waters.

In the past (pre 1995 era) the top producing stretch of river was up high in the Redding and Anderson section of Sacramento River. The installment of Shasta and Keswick dams really forced all of the Sacramento River king salmon to come as high as they could seeking the coldest waters they could find which was river water closest to Shasta Dam.
