Sac River Fish Reports

We are excited and preparing all of the salmon fishing gear for July’s Sacramento River salmon fishing opener. On July 16, 2021 the best “old style” kwikfish will be ready to be deployed for one of the freshest king salmon of the season. Salmon fishing will begin one hour before sunrise on July 16, 2021 on the Sacramento River below the Red Bluff Diversion Dam. Salmon fishing 30 minutes south of Redding California in Red Bluff is very convenient with many excellent lodging and eating establishments available.

Salmon fishing on the Sacramento River is so successful due to its close proximity to the hatchery just upriver and it’s abundant cold water that the cold water curtain device at Shasta Dam provides. This cold water is what attracts Sacramento River salmon upriver to where we fish quickly.
